Why this matters more than you think

Your pregnancy and birth shape the material reality of your child's life.

It's one of the most important things you'll ever get right. How you prepare, and who holds the room, shapes the start your baby gets and the mother you become. Birth isn't something to survive. It's where you meet your strength.

Soft natural light through a curtain in a calm, private room

When you feel safe, your body already knows what to do.

When a woman feels watched or afraid, her body slows. When she feels calm and held, it opens, and the pain softens. The room, and the people in it, are part of how birth works. We teach you to create that, and your partner to protect it.

Why I teach this

My first birth broke me. My second one showed me my strength.

My first birth was long and frightening, and I felt unsupported. My second, I prepared, I trusted my body, and in two hours he was here. I looked up and thought: I can do anything.

I'm a Masters-educated natural birth expert and a mother of five. I've guided hundreds of women through natural birth, teaching the thing I wish someone had taught me.

Birthing Culture

Birth is something you become.

Birthing Culture exists to change how women meet their birth: informed, supported, and unafraid. This is the thinking that turns the most daunting day into the one you find your strength.
